Hi, I'm Luz Noguez!

I’m a professional interpreter and translator. I was born in Mexico City and now split my time between my home country and Washington, D.C.

I translate and interpret to and from English and my native Spanish, as well as from French into Spanish.  My clients have included prominent public and private sector organizations such as:

  • Formula One
  • Office of the President of Mexico
  • U.S. Department of Justice
  • Google
  • United Nations

(Please see my work experience page for more information about my clients.)

I learned English and French not only through my formal education, but also from my time living overseas in the United States, Australia, and France.

Also, unlike many interpreters/translators, I have a professional degree in interpretation and translation.  This required years of study and practical experience.

Additionally, I provide “localization services” in Mexican Spanish to companies that are seeking to tailor their content specifically to Mexican audiences and customers. While to outsiders it may seem like all people from the Hispanic world speak the same Spanish, the reality is that our common language varies quite a bit from country to country!

I also have a strong professional network with trusted colleagues to work on very large jobs, as well as to connect you with good translators/interpreters in languages that I do not work in, such as Japanese and German.

So if you need to tackle a big project, or need someone who works in another language, I can help!

Finally, I provide specialized translation and interpretation services, whether for large quantities of documents or events, for very lengthy documents, for very technical subjects, or for extremely important content where accuracy is imperative.

Choosing the right translation/interpretation service in these contexts implies a much greater risk than normal, and the process you use to select and vet a service is far more important. In these cases, I can help you structure your company's search appropriately, even if I do not provide the services you seek.

My website has more information about my work experience, as well as answers to frequently asked questions, if you'd like to learn more.
